Northstar Creek and Freedom Creek flow through Cooling Springs Farm. The farm is powered entirely by solar energy, and uses no fossil fuel, hydroelectric or nuclear sources for power. Electricity used during daylight hours is provided by the farm's owned ground-mounted solar array and at night by purchased solar delivered by power line.
